OVERVIEW
Kanda Shrine is said to have been founded in 730 and moved to its current location in 1616.
Since Ieyasu Tokugawa (1543-1616) prayed for victory in battle, it is revered as the general guardian of Edo(Tokyo).
The Kanda Festival is one of the three major festivals in Japan and is held in May in odd-numbered years.

Next, hold the ladle in your left hand and cleanse your right hand.
